Sticky Monster Lab from Seoul

We have always been a big fan of how Sticky Monster Lab interprets serious subject matter of our daily life in their unique style of humour.
Sticky Monster Lab is a creative studio established by a motion graphic artist, an illustrator, a 3D figure artist and an events management specialist founded in 2007. Together they work on graphic design, prints, 3D figures as well as animations.
In 'Public Fair No.1', Sticky Mosnter Lab presented their popular animation piece 'The Loner' in installation format. 'The Loner' is a young protagonist who dwells in his cyber life and seems to lose the skills to communicate with other people in real life. In this show, the diorama of the Loner’s house and streets in the surreal world of the Loner’s will be displayed.

Cody Hudson from Chicago

During planning of ‘Public Fair No.1’, we decided to challenge Chicago based multi-media artist Cody Hudson by offering him the cinema-size-showcases spreading throughout the mall for displaying his work to show elements that would engage local public audience. We also lined up SCAD ( Savanna College of Art & Design ) Hong Kong photography students, All-Yen-Collaborative to collaborate with Cody in creating new work in Hong Kong. The theme is about using locally found objects such as old magazine, vinyl record, kitchen ware, combining images of Hong Kong street scene and people shot by the students to create seventeen pieces of sculpture. Cody’s artistic magical hands brought life into those objects and faces of Hong Kong, and captured them in clean and dimensional graphical images, which unfolded his impression of the complexity of Hong Kong’s unique blend of western and oriental charms together with the interesting collision between modernity and old fashion Hong Kong. This series of work is called ‘Lost & Found’.
